Liverpool lettings set to increase with hi-tech jobs growth?

Liverpool property could attract more renters and buyers as jobs are created in in the city's tech industries.

An event organised by the regeneration company Liverpool Vision saw entrepreneurs from eight companies in the north-west go to the Silicon Valley in the US and pitch their projects to major industry figures at Google and Microsoft Sun Systems.

In an interview with the Liverpool Daily Post, Katie Lips, founder of apps company Kisky Netmedia, said: "It was great to take our start-up Little World Gifts to a Silicon Valley audience of potential partners, collaborators and investors.

"Little World Gifts has big ambitions and we are building our base in Liverpool. We already work with some of the city's finest 3-D graphics, programming and marketing talent.

"[The trip] was a chance for us to test our service and business viability where it really matters, and the response was great."

Business figures involved in the event include Richard Farley, one of the most well-known 'dragons' from the Dragon's Den series.
