The walls of a Liverpool church graveyard are to be restored soon, which may come as good news to those seeking Liverpool houses for sale in the centre of the city.
Walls along Upper Parliament Street and Chesterfield Street around the St James Church's graveyard are currently in a state of disrepair.
Excavation work by specialist contractors is to take place in order for the walls adjoining parts of graveyard to be rebuilt.
Before rebuilding begins, archaeologists will dig test pits in three locations by the north wall to establish if there are any human remains present.
Rev Neil Short, the minister of St James, said "Rebuilding these walls will make a significant contribution to the area and will be a real boost to our plans to rejuvenate St James as a vibrant church for the 21st century."
The church is a short walk from Liverpool cathedral and the centre of the city.
Earlier this month, iammoving.co.uk suggested that properties by the sea, which could include north-east Liverpool houses for sale, will remain in high demand throughout 2010.
